I understand planning 6 months or 2 years in the future is very hard sometimes. Especially if none of us know if we will get up in the morning.
In order to organize a reunion, I unfortunately have to plan.
Let me make some suggestions.
If you think you might come, you need to be on the Registration List. Unlike the last reunion I planned, we had people coming up to the hospitality room that I didn't even know were on the boat much less attending the reunion. For everyone's safety, it just doesn't seem wise to allow people acess, that we didn't know. Because of this, if a person is not on the registration list, they will not be allowed to be involved in any way with the reunion. There will be no last minute walk-ups this time.
In order to attend the reunion, you will need lodging. Lodging at a decent price in Nashville at this time of year (actually most anytime) is hard to find. So if you're not planning for lodging, you may find yourself sleeping on a park bench. We have a hotel providing rooms at a fairly good discounted rate. You can book your rooms now and NO MONEY is charged to your credit card until you arrive. Plus, you can cancel your reservation up to 3 days prior to the reunion which is unheard of at most reunion hotels. So you can't lose unless you forget to cancel in time. So even if you are not sure you can attend, you can still book your room now.
I understand not everyone wants to participate in tours and activities, so pricing for these are totally separate. If you don't participate, you don't pay anything. This is also true with the banquet dinner, drinking in the hospitality room or anything else. The only cost for attending the reunion is a $25/person Non-Refundable Reunion Fee which covers any incidental costs for putting on the reunion. This would have to be paid at least 1 month in advance of the reunion or I remove individuals from the Registration List.
So ultimately my suggestion is this. Get on the list, plan to come, book your room, plan your travel and if things don't work out, you can cancel your hotel a month before the reunion and not even lose your reunion fee. Then, you will have done your best.
Hope to see you there!!
